"Have you worked at this stadium before?"

I turned away from the pitch and faced her as she stopped at the top of the stairway of the vomitory. It was the supervisor. She was probably in her late thirties, dark haired, about 5 feet 6 inches with more muscles than fat.

"Nope. But I've been at other stadiums."

"Okay good, so you know what to do."

"I believe so."

"Basically, this end is where most season ticket holders sit. So they know their way around. But a few new faces will come around, and would need help locating their seat."

"No issues. I will assist them."

She pointed at the stand's stairway. "They are labeled alphabetically from A to double GG. To your left are numbers 190 and lower. While on your right is 191 and higher."

I nodded. "Okay."

"No alcohol up or beyond the stairway. No smoking in the stands, and no vaping too."

"I will ensure that."

"And keep the stairs clear at all times."

"Will do."

"Then 20 minutes into the second half, I want you to be at the pitch side. It's the last home game and the fans might be a little too excited."

"It's understandable. They have qualified to play in the premier league next season."

"Yeah, so we just have to make sure there are no pitch invasion."

"No issues, I will be there."

She watched me silently for a moment. "Do you know how to use a radio?"

"Yes I do."

She handed over a radio with a connected ear piece.

"What's the channel?" I asked.

"Channel 1."

I switched on the radio and put it to channel 1. Then I clipped the radio to my belt and placed the ear piece on my left ear.

"What's my call sign?"

"Which end is?" She responded.

"West Side, vomitory number 8."

She nodded. "So we use Nature. West is Waterbed, East is Earth, South is Sandcastle and North is Native."

"Hmm. Interesting. So I'm Waterbed 8."

"Yes, and I'm Waterbed Alpha."

"Duly noted."

I did the radio check with the control room and also adjusted the radio volume.

She then brought out a note pad and pen. "I need to put down your name."

"Afolabi Macaulay."

"Afronappy?"

I smiled. "Afolabi. But Afo for short."

She smiled. "Thanks. That helps."

"So you don't end up calling me Afro nappies."

She smiled. "Can you spell your name for me?"

I took the pen and pad and wrote down my name. Then I gave it back to her.

"Okay Afro nappies, see you later."

We both laughed as she turned and walked down the stairway.
