I just finished watching Shanty Town, and I've some questions. I'm not sure I will get answer to these questions. But still, I do need to ask.

First things first, did I enjoy the series? Yes, I did. Was the nudity too much? There were reasons for it, so it wasn't over the top.

Why did "Scar" sound so much like Odunlade Adekola each and every time he spoke Yoruba? If all you did was to listen to the audio, you will think it was Odunlade Adekola.

Even the mannerism of Scar was a lil similar to Odunlade Adekola. The funny thing is that, I'm not an active watcher of Nollywood movies especially the Yoruba genre.

What was the point for the hand to hand combats between the "unknowns"? The only fight I was "invested" in, was between Scar and the bodyguard. This is because they had history. They had a grudge. The tension between them was boiling over the course of the series.

But for the other fights, they were just people in black who we knew nothing about. Even the "agent" at that point was an "unknown."

Why black for everyone?
There was no easy way to tell or know who was who, or who is shooting who.

And how can you be fighting someone and instead of solid iron, you are hitting their head on the tyre "conveniently strapped" on the iron?

Haba, na fight to the death o, not WWE things.

Why did the cut off finger stop bleeding? Blood should still have been dripping from the bloodied handkerchief.

The hacking of heads and the hacked off head was real enough and believable. But that part where the danfo was sent flying, it was straight from an American movie. Like Black Panther said, "we don't do that here." However, it was a spectacular scene, especially with the tyres still rolling.

It's understandable that a girl about to die can press record on her phone to record what's happening. But please and please, who pressed "send" after she died? The dead girl?

And is it possible not to check your phone to view missed calls and unread messages? Especially from your bestie?

Well, my wife dey do am sometimes Sha, so lemme retract that one.

The BDSM scene was, well, bloody.

Overall, it's a good series. Cinematography was on point, as well as, the acting. It's an enjoyable watch.
