One of my favorite movie star is Jackie Chan, so it was a pleasant surprise to stumble on him in a 2017 movie titled "The foreigner."
It was a different take from the usual Jackie Chan movie. This one was emotional, gritty and bloody.
I'm not sure there was one moment where I laughed. It was no surprise to see it was adapted from a book.
It was so, so different from the "normal funny" Jackie Chan movies. But, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. And Pierce Brosnan was also in the movie. He was class as always.
It's a 2017 movie, but still lemme not drop any spoilers. If you're interested, it's on Netflix.
I need to look for more movies similar to this one. I probably would also need to read the book from which the movie was adapted. The book is titled, The Chinaman by Stephen Leather.
This movie (The Foreigner) was everything I wished the "Black Book" movie (on Netflix) was. But that's a story for another day.
