EXT. IN-DOOR ARENA. LONDON. EVENING.

A panorama of London showing, Victoria, Chelsea, Greenwich, Woolwich, and Brixton.

There is a long snake-line queue of people in a car park waiting to get into the security check lanes to gain access to the in-door Arena through a double-door entrance.

There are people wearing all-black and a red hi-vis vest organising and managing the queue. A few of the people in all-black have on a blue his-vis vest, a radio, and an earpiece, these are supervisors. All of the people in a hi-vis vest are SIA Door Supervisors and have their SIA badge on display on their arm, waist, or around their neck. There are also sniffer dogs with their handlers at the top of the queue.

In front of the entrance into the arena are ten security check lanes, each with a SIA Door Supervisor in an all-black attire and a red vis-his vest. All the ten security personnel have a hand-held metal detector, and a long white table with a big grey bowl to collect/ hold people’s possessions before searching.

An electronic billboard shows that the event is a rock music concert with a popular support act and a headline artist.

VENUE MANAGER VOICE-OVER

Okay, then we are green for doors.

SECURITY MANAGER

Control did you receive last?

FEMALE VOICE OVER

Yes, loud and clear.

(Pause)

Control to all call signs, we are green for doors, I repeat, we are green for doors.

The double doors into the arena swing open and people enter the security lane for search routines. People start to enter the arena after the search routines.

A busty, white lady (Jane 18, 5 feet 6 inches, blonde, red spag top and black short skirt) holding her phone approaches one of the security personnel.

MALE SIA SUPERVISOR

Any bag?

JANE

(shakes her head and shows him her phone)

No bag, just my phone.

MALE SIA SUPERVISOR

(Points to the bowl)

Please empty your pockets.

Jane places her bank card, e-cig, and some coins into the bowl. The security personnel waves the hand-held metal detector over and around her body. A white guy (P.S. 35, 6 feet 2 inches, broad shoulder, black jacket, black tee-shirt, and blue jeans) who is being pat down in another search lane, watches Jane with cold eyes and a weird smile on his face.

The security personnel waves Jane on. She walks past him and waits for her boyfriend (Fred 20, 5 feet 9 inches, red hoodie and blue jeans). The security personnel drops the hand-held metal detector, tells Fred to empty his pockets, and then pats down/searches Fred with his hands.

INT. IN-DOOR ARENA. LONDON. EVENING. CONTINUOUS

Fred and Jane enter the building of the arena, while P.S. lingers behind to allow other people to come between them before casually following the couple into the building.

The couple and other customers/ attendees enter the concourse of the arena and try to rush into the main hall. The six security personnel at the entrance of the hall stop them.

LONDON ARENA SECURITY MANAGER

No running guys. No running.

The six security personnel slowly retreat, walking with their back into the hall towards the stage, while the customers slowly follow them in. Mid-way into the hall, the six security personnel stop and allow the customers to walk past them. Most of the customers walk fast to get ahead of the others and a few of them start to run. They all come to a stop at the Pit barrier in front of the stage.

The deejay starts to play on stage, while the customers wait. Some of them head out to the concourse to buy drinks, mainly alcohol.

Fred and Jane are leaning on the pit barrier. P.S. stands at a distance keenly watching them.

FRED

Let’s go get a drink.

JANE

I don’t want to lose my spot.

FRED

There is still plenty of time before the main act. Besides, it’s going to get crowded soon, and so we are better off at the middle of the hall. Instead of being quashed against this barrier when they start moshing.

JANE

Well, I want to be a part of the moshing.

FRED

Okay, we will go back to the front. But not directly in front of the barrier. Okay?

JANE

Okay, fair enough.

The couple walk towards the bar and P.S. slowly follows them. The couple get their drinks and then move to the right side of the hall.

P. S. watches them for a while. Then he goes out of the hall into the male toilet and enters one of the cubicles. He pulls down his jean trousers. There is a small, sharp, serrated plastic knife tapped just under his groin region. He removes it and tucks it into the back of his jean waistband.

He takes off his black jacket, switches it inside out, and puts it on as a dark red jacket. He brings out a red face cap from his jacket and puts it on. Then He brings out his phone, sits on the toilet seat, and flips to a playlist on his phone.

The playlist shows these songs: Slayer — Dead Skin Mask (Ed Gein), Exodus — Going, Going Gone (Richard Ramirez), Fear Factory — Suffer Age (John Wayne Gacy), Cannibal Corpse — Eaten Back To Life (Alferd Packer), Melvins — Zodiac (Zodiac Killer), and Motörhead — Jack The Ripper (Jack The Ripper).

He scrolls to Slayer — Dead Skin Mask (Ed Gein), plugs his air pods into his ears and clicks on the play button.

To be continued…
